Cool air. Quiet water. Golden light reflecting off canyon walls. It’s the perfect way to end a day on any river we guide. As the crowds fade and the evening calm settles in, the river comes alive. Predatory trout begin to hunt, wildlife stirs along the banks, and the scenery glows in the soft light of sunset.
Our Sunset Float Trips are an ideal warm-up for anglers arriving the day before their full-day adventure. Trips begin between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., depending on the season and conditions, and continue until dusk. You’ll spend roughly three hours floating miles of spectacular water known for its beauty and active fish
All of our trips are conducted in hard-sided drift boats OR a fly fishing guide rafts complete with casting floors and lean bars, accommodating up to two anglers, providing a comfortable and stable platform for fishing.
We provide all flies, snacks, dinner and drinks; you’re welcome to bring your own adult beverages to enjoy as the sun dips behind the canyon. The late-day dry-fly bite can be fantastic, and when the light fades, streamers and mouse patterns often draw out big, aggressive browns looking for an evening meal.
Let our experienced guides show you the best water, share their expertise, and deliver an unforgettable few hours on one of the most magical stretches of rivers in the West.
