Experience the Best Fishing with Never Enough Fishing

Planning your trip

March–April
If you can brave the late-winter bite—or catch one of those bluebird spring days—you’ll be rewarded. The Pinedale area, the Fontenelle tailwater as well as the Green River in Dutch John come alive early. Snow lifts off the edges, hungry trout wake up, and you’ll have long stretches of river practically to yourself. Early season fishing here feels wild, quiet, and incredibly rewarding.

May
Pre-Runoff Magic! This is one of the best months of the year to hook a true river giant. Water conditions can be unpredictable, but that’s part of the thrill—fish are ravenous, streamers are deadly, and nymphs shine. May is prime time to throw big, mean bugs on heavy lines and watch aggressive fish show up to play.
Schedule Availability: MEDIUM

June
June can be variable, but it’s a sleeper month you shouldn’t overlook. Early summer dry fly windows begin to pop, and some of the largest fish of the season come to the net now. The Upper Green near the lakes starts to clear, offering some of the best scenery and fishing of the year.  Across the board, our other rivers—the Salt, the Green in Dutch John, and Utah’s Lower Provo and Weber—are delivering, with steady action and big numbers of willing fish.  If you have flexibility, stay in touch—short-notice June trips when conditions align can be legendary.
Schedule Availability: MEDIUM–HARD

July
Our busiest—and for many, favorite—month. July brings world-class dry fly fishing on the Green (WY & UT) and the Salt River. The Gray Drake hatch is pure magic; hit it right and you’ll remember it for years. Streamer fishing also stays red-hot in the right water. This is peak-season perfection, and availability is extremely limited—July dates vanish fast, so book early!
Schedule Availability: HARD

August
Crowds thin a bit, but August is still our second-busiest month for good reason. This is big bug season—stones, hoppers, foam, and pure surface fun. Rivers drop, afternoons warm up, and technical decisions matter more, but our guides know exactly where the best windows are. If you love throwing big dries, August is your month.

Schedule Availability: MEDIUM–HARD

September
Among guides, September is “the best-kept secret.” Tourists are gone, hunters are in the mountains, and the rivers feel peaceful again. One cold front is all it takes to make trout turn aggressive. Streamers dominate. Clear, low fall water rewards stealth, crisp casting, and finesse—but the payoff is huge. Weather is consistently gorgeous, and the fishing can be electric.
Schedule Availability: MEDIUM

October
Weather can roll the dice, but the fishing? Exceptional. We focus on the lower Green, Salt, Lower Provo, and Weber—and some of our biggest days of the year happen right now. Streamer bites are strong, steady, and your best ticket to big, heavy fall trout.
Schedule Availability: MEDIUM

November
As temps drop, the season winds down, and guides get a few well-earned days off. But not everyone hangs up their oars—Fontenelle and Dutch John flows stay consistent, and the late-fall fishing can surprise anyone willing to give it a shot. If you want to experience how good November can really be, we’ll show you.
